Venture Global Engineering Foundation Achieves One Million Dollars in Donations

Sterling Hts., MI – July 31, 2018 – Venture Global Engineering is pleased to announce that it has raised over $400,000.00 for local charities and school organizations at it’s fifth annual charity golf outing held on July 21, 2018 at the prestigious Wyndgate Country Club and the WestWynd golf course in Oakland Township - two of the premier golf courses in Southeastern Michigan. With the help of our sponsors and donations; the amount earned this year has enabled us to reach and exceed the One Million Dollar mark in funds donated. The all-volunteer Foundation was established to raise funds to support local community organizations, school groups and charities; and its annual golf outing is the only means of raising funds. The first two golf outings were held on a single golf course, and due to the events popularity and demand for foursomes, a second course was added starting with the third annual outing. The outing has continued to be a sellout every year; even with the addition of a second course. The five outings have resulted in the Foundation being able to distribute a cumulative total of over One million Dollars to groups and charities.

The golfers enjoyed a full breakfast buffet, grilled hot dog stations throughout the course and a fabulous BBQ dinner buffet. Raffles and prizes totaled over $35,000 in value. One lucky winner received a four person luxury suite package to a Tigers game, Lions game, Red Wings game and a USPBL game. One golfer shot a hole in one at a contest hole and won $10,000; another golfer attempted a put to win $75,000 and four golfers attempted to chip-in for $1,000,000.

Within the next few weeks a presentation ceremony will take place and all of this year’s charities and school groups will be invited to attend. At this ceremony the Venture Global Engineering Foundation awards the individual organizations with the amounts the outing has raised. The organizations are encouraged to provide the audience an overview of their program and how these funds will help them achieve their goals and meet their needs. The main charities and groups benefitting from this year’s outing are; L’Anse Creuse High School Band, The Believe Foundation, Imlay City Robotics Team, The New Day Foundation for Families, Romeo High School Class of 2019 scholarships, West Point Society of Michigan, Veterans Tribute of Oakland Township, St. Jude’s and a local nursing or senior center. Additional organizations are awarded funding based on availability. If you would like additional information on the Foundation, please check out our Facebook page or visit our web site at
